Transforming from the traditional CPP business model to a sustainable agri-ecosystem with a value chain from seed to rice, Loc Troi Group (UPCoM: LTG) is striving continuously to find efficient solutions in improving crop yields, farmers’ livelihoods, and the rural environment. As a leading agricultural services corporation in Vietnam, having 300,000 hectares of contract farming areas with more than 200,000 farmer households, LTG urgently needed an end-to-end system to manage and integrate enormous data from her large-scale agri-production to ensure efficiencies of the whole business. Due to this demand, the Information Technology Department of LTG immediately planned and developed the Farm ERP system, allowing users to follow, update, and manage all real-time data/tasks from seed to rice value chain. Therefore, the system helps LTG to foster business, construct data integration among stakeholders, and strengthen the sustainable agro-production value chain. With ceaseless efforts to enhance end users’ experience, the IT Department has collaborated with Geek Up, a product partner, to develop mobile applications for farmers and LTG employees. All contribute to the fruitfulness of LTG’s long-term strategies.

01LTG and GEEK Up pioneer building Farm ERP on the mobile platform in Vietnam
Farm ERP concentrates on managing and integrating big data, including farmers’ information, farming contracts, areas, cultivation tracking, harvest time, agri-supplies as well as farming services purchasing orders, and credit control. Thanks to this system, LTG is neatly assisted with the execution and expansion of agro-product contract farming to meet the agri-products of domestic and global demands. GEEK Up accompanied LTG in building mobile platforms, designed for farmers and LTG employees, to integrate seamlessly complicated business processes and operations. Moreover, GEEK Up created a user-friendly interface, contributing to strengthening the strong ties between Loc Troi Group and farmer households.
02Companionship to build a pioneering digital product
GEEK Up was based on the LTG vision, there business model, and the “available” Farm ERP system to work with the corporation to advance the system, from product strategy consultation, concept making, application design, implementation, and operation with the support of LTG core back end team of IT Department. GEEK Up coordinated with the IT Department to comprehend the complex operation of LTG’s large-scale agri-production. Additionally, GEEK Up's product design team conducted group interviews, deeply tested product features, as well as user experience, and gained deep user insights; then, mapped out user profiles, and digital customer journeys, and proposed suitable improved solutions. GEEK Up focused on developing insightful products, satisfying both business and user needs. GEEK Up operated the mobile applications by training farmers and the '3 cùng' team, having over 1,000 agronomists, the main operators of this digital product. However, many of them are unfamiliar with technology. The current mobile platform is the result of continuous refinement after each phased app release. This not only helps them easily adapt to digital technology but also allows GEEK Up to consistently gather feedback from users. Then, the mobile platform of Farm ERP continuously adjusts its features to best meet customer needs.
